If nostalgia for an age where creatures of myth walked together with the children of men had a soundtrack, this album would be it. Also, a touching reminder that we can forego wealth and power for wilderness and freedom, if we so choose. emanuele127

The much expected follow-up to the first EP by Haryon is now finally out. This comes not only as a masterfully played Dungeon Synth tribute to Tolkien's world, but also, as expected from Murgrind, a highly orchestral, masterfully composed soundtrack for escapism and reveries. It's rare, especially in nowadays scene, to find such a sincere and well thought musical experience - because this album transcends mere DS and becomes an unique take on the genre, like most Murgrind releases manged before! No other dungeon synth or related genre effects me the way Fief does. From beginning to end I am transported to an idyllic past of play and adventure. Is it my own childhood fantasies I am remembering, or some shared myth of adventure and magic? Regardless, this, and all other Fief albums, are pure Arcadian bliss. Beatrice
